Hello,
I have read everywhere on US forums that Finland is the place to go if you need info on benz diesels. So with that I hope you guys can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
I have as stated an 87 190D with the om602 and I'm wondering what turbo I can use other then stock with the stock pump turned all the way up? Possible an HX30? Also on Cummins 5,9L which we have in Dodge pick-up trucks over here they have common power builders with the p-7100 which is bigger DV's and injector nozzles. Is that an option with the style engine and fueling. I have a 85' German VIN'd 16v Cosworth that take most of my money so this is my DD and I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on this yet so element are out of the picture right now. Just stock pump + _____ Turbo = a decent power number maybe 200 225 is what I was hopping for.
Thanks you very much,
Jacob

Hello,
and welcome to the forum! I’d say it’s quite nice that someone from so far is asking for tips from the Finnish forum.
Yes, there are plenty of guys who are doing things to get power out of the OM60x engines in here and they also know a lot about it.
Nevertheless, I’m a bit worried that this message might not find the experts that easily, considering that usually the Oldtimers-area is used for restoration projects etc. and people usually don’t look for diesel-tuning topics in this area. I would suggest that you write to the English forum part:
http://www.mersuforum.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=29
OR...
Another option is to write to the Finnish area that is dedicated to turbocharging. I’m not sure how the moderators think about writing there in English, but at least that’s the area that the diesel-tuning-guys are constantly following. The turbo-area is this one:
http://www.mersuforum.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=35
And I think it would be good to include also “more power to OM602 turbo” or something like that in the headline of the topic to awake the interest of the turbo-tuners.
EDIT: I'm not one of the turbo tuners myself, so unfortunately I really can't help in the actual issue you were asking...
