AFAIK Sprinter 270CDI has only 330Nm. In the C or E-Class the 270CDI has 370Nm. If you want Holset, go with an HY35. The 9cm housing will spool much faster than the HX35's 12cm housing and it's still capable of 35psi.

I was only getting 1/2 travel because the screw broke out during an adjustment. It wasn't until a year or so later that I learned how seriously that damaged it.

The tube was no problem, I had forgotten to tighten the clamp in that video.

I'd bet if you keep it under .35bar/5psi boost, use a pyrometer, keep a *close* eye on exhaust temperatures, and don't get greedy with the fuel, the engines lifespan won't be too significantly reduced.

The nonturbo engines are not built to handle a turbo. The stock turbo engines have many different internal changes for strength and additional cooling.

With a 3.92 I bet your 2nd gear take-offs are much better than mine. The USA did not have any MB's with the 3.92. The lowest gearing we got was 3.69 in the 240D (Which I have).

Am I reading correct that you are getting lower pre-turbo exhaust pressure than intake boost pressure?

While my turbo is currently the small KKK K26, I get exhaust pressures of 22-25psi when I have 14psi of boost.

I thought that drive pressure would always be higher than intake pressure.

The OM606 has 4 valves per cylinder instead of 2. This allows it to flow much more air through the engine.
