The info posted above is correct. The 722.3 can be built to withstand a serious amount of power... it survived behind not only the M12 V12, but also the 6.0-6.5L M119 monsters from AMG, RENNtech, and Brabus, and also the 7.4L M120 V12 beasts. And some supercharged versions too. All have well over 40...

Anyone? Bueller...? Bueller...? I've never been able to get a definite answer to this question, but I believe the cam must be removed, the the element comes out the bottom. Sure would be nice to see a DIY writeup.

Also, the 603.971 USA engine has an EGR port. If you don't want one, you need to obtain a Euro-spec 603.9xx manifold instead...

Casey, does the smoking go away once the engine warms up? Or does it smoke at idle and light load after it's warm too? There's no smoke (or very little) at WOT, correct?

Depending on the specific calipers in question and amount of packing, the weight is roughly 20-25lbs (10-12kg). Shipping via USPS economy/surface should be $25-$50, depending on the weight. You do know that pump should be adjusted when it's attached to engine and engine runnig? It's the only way get the idle exacly ringt when adjusting maximun fuel delivery. Excellent information here... I too was not expecting to need to make other adjustments. Questions:

1) Will the ALDA need to be adjusted as well?

If you want to keep the AC, you'll need to relocate the condenser and radiator back a couple of inches, like in the photo above of Mauri's car.
